The individually packaged, single-use test produces a result in 2 minutes. It is intended for medical and other professional in vitro diagnostic use.
The Breath Alcohol Rapid Test screens exhaled breath for alcohol using a colour-changing crystal indicator. It provides a semi-quantitative result against the cut-off level printed on the individual test. Available cut-off levels listed in the manufacturer’s insert are 0.02%, 0.05% and 0.08% relative blood alcohol concentration (BAC).
This is a screening test and does not measure an exact BAC. Results requiring confirmation, particularly for legal purposes, must be checked with an approved alcohol test.
A timer is required but is not supplied.
